1. Overview
Videra ("we," "us," or "our") operates myvidera.com, an online retirement and financial planning platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using Videra, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Videra is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
What Videra collects — and does not collect
Videra collects self-reported planning estimates, not sensitive financial account data. No bank account numbers, Social Security numbers, brokerage credentials, tax IDs, or government-issued identifiers are collected or required. There is no connection to any financial institution, brokerage, or government agency.
Retirement planning is projection-based. The same ballpark figures a financial advisor would gather in a first consultation are all Videra needs to generate a meaningful, personalized report. Your email address is the only personally identifiable information (PII) we store.
2. Information we collect
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and Google profile information.
Assessment data: Financial information you enter into the assessment form, including assets, debts, income, retirement goals, healthcare preferences, and long-term care preferences. This data is stored in your snapshots and used to generate your retirement and risk report.
Usage data: We log your interactions with the Ask Videra AI advisor, including the number of messages sent and approximate token counts, for the purpose of monitoring platform usage and managing costs. We do not store the content of your Ask Videra conversations beyond your active browser session.
Technical data: Standard web server logs including browser type, device type, and pages visited. We do not collect or store your IP address for identification purposes.
3. How we use your information
- To generate your retirement and risk report based on the data you provide
- To save your assessment snapshots so you can track progress over time
- To send you report emails when you request them
- To power the Ask Videra AI advisor using your snapshot data as context
- To monitor platform usage, detect abuse, and manage operating costs
- To communicate with you about your account or changes to our service
We do not use your financial data for advertising, credit scoring, or any purpose beyond operating the Videra platform.
4. Third-party services
Videra uses the following third-party services to operate the platform:
- Supabase — database and authentication provider. Your account and snapshot data is stored on Supabase servers. Supabase is SOC 2 Type 2 certified. See supabase.com/privacy.
- Anthropic — powers the Ask Videra AI advisor. When you use Ask Videra, your messages and snapshot context are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic does not use your data to train its models by default. See anthropic.com/privacy.
- Resend — email delivery service used to send your retirement report when you request it. See resend.com/privacy.
- Vercel — hosts the Videra web application. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not share your financial data with advertisers, data brokers, or any party not listed above.
5. Data security
We implement reasonable technical safeguards to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security on our database so users can only access their own data, and authentication via Supabase Auth with support for Google OAuth.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take data protection seriously and will notify affected users in the event of a material data breach.
6. Data retention
We retain your account and snapshot data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your snapshots and assessment data are deleted from our database. Some residual data may remain in Supabase backups for up to 30 days following deletion.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction — update or correct your data via the Settings page or by contacting us
- Deletion — delete your account and all associated data via Settings → Delete account, or by contacting us

8. Cookies
Videra uses only essential cookies required for authentication (session management). We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from signing in.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email and will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Videra after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
