1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Videra at myvidera.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old to use Videra.
2. Not financial advice
Videra is an educational and planning tool. Nothing on Videra — including the retirement report, risk score, allocation recommendations, Ask Videra AI responses, Social Security claiming analysis, Monte Carlo simulations, or any other output — constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.
Videra is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, financial planner, or tax professional. The projections and recommendations generated by the Service are based solely on the information you enter and are provided for informational and educational purposes only.
You should consult a licensed financial advisor, tax professional, or attorney before making any financial decisions. Videra is not responsible for any financial decisions you make based on the Service's output.
3. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at privacy@myvidera.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of third parties without their consent. You may not use automated tools to access the Service.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service
- Submit false, misleading, or malicious content to the platform
- Use the Ask Videra AI advisor in a manner that is abusive, harmful, or intended to manipulate the AI
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or the platform's infrastructure
- Resell or redistribute the Service's output without written permission
5. AI advisor (Ask Videra)
The Ask Videra feature uses Anthropic's Claude AI model to respond to your retirement planning questions. By using Ask Videra, you acknowledge that:
- AI responses may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information
- Ask Videra responses do not constitute financial, legal, or tax advice
- Your messages and snapshot context are transmitted to Anthropic's API for processing
- Conversation history is not stored beyond your active browser session
- We reserve the right to limit or suspend Ask Videra access for accounts with excessive or abusive usage
6. Data and privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using Videra, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.
You retain ownership of the financial data you enter into the Service. By submitting data, you grant Videra a limited license to process and store that data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
7. Accuracy of projections
Videra's retirement projections, Monte Carlo simulations, and risk analyses are based on mathematical models and the information you provide. They are not guarantees of future results. Actual investment returns, healthcare costs, inflation, Social Security benefits, and other variables will differ from projections.
We make no warranty that the Service's calculations are accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific situation. Always verify important financial projections with a licensed professional.
8. Intellectual property
Videra and its content, features, and functionality — including the brand name, logo, software, reports, and AI advisor — are owned by Navindra Singh and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. "VIDERA" is a trademark of Navindra Singh (USPTO Serial No. 99889541).
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written permission.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VIDERA AND ITS OWNER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO FINANCIAL LOSSES RESULTING FROM RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE'S OUTPUT.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, abusive use of the AI advisor, or any activity that threatens the security or integrity of the platform. You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete account.
12. Changes to terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email and update the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of New York County, New York.
